Now that the holidays are over things are in full swing again! Wait a minute! Some people actually work through the holidays! My holiday was spent with the lovely and talented Jackie Gino! We'll have new material for everyone in the new year! I'm also back to finishing touches on St. Louis based Field of Grey's new record and have mixes going for Kevin Murphy's (Tonic, Jimmies Chicken Shack) new project SICKSHOT! (They didn't use my mix- I don't think.) These guys are ridiculous! Mastering for Everyone But Pete has been completed down at Studio B Mastering in North Carolina so look for a release from them in the near future. I also hear that Saturn Down and Down To This are starting to get airplay! Congrats guys! Happy Holidays!

Sorry gang, its been a while since my last update- seems that I've been updating MYSPACE more than I have this site. I've been keeping crazy busy with a host of cool projects! I've spent the last month in the studio with Field of Grey out of St. Louis, MO. All rock all the time. The lovely Kevin Murphy (Tonic, Earth To Andy) came in to pound the skins! Next up is the reggaetronic stylings of Lionize! These guys are taking the east coast by storm- catch them while you can! I also heard a little something about hitting the studio with them and a special guest from across the pond. More when its confirmed! We'll have a number of songs completed next week. I also spent a day with Brent Baxter (India Arie's guitar player) and a project that he is working on. In case you're keeping tabs, Superbeing also had Andre Wahl (Slipknot, Mudvayne) mix a tune. I have no idea where everything stands but I'm sure it'll be just dandy. Other projects include mixes for Saturn Down, Everyone But Pete, Stillwell, and a few others! Also spent some time engineering 6 new songs for producer Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Meredith Brooks) and artist Niki Barr. I also played drums on one of Niki's tracks as well as some of the Field of Grey material. Nice to be playing more these days! Happy Holidays all!

Currently engineering System Failure for producer Drew Mazurek (Linkin Park, Nothingface). Recently tracked with producer Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Meredith Brooks) and americana-rock act the Brindley Brothers. Scott just returned from tracking Superbeing (Vancouver, Canada) down in Nashville. John Hampton (White Stripes, Gin Blossoms) will be mixing Superbeing down in Memphis later this month. Scott is also wrapping up projects with vibe-rockers Saturn Down and indie rockers Kate Starr. Recently completed were world music The Canvas and a quick acoustic record with Rana. Recent press blurbs in Mix Magazine, multiple issues of Pro Sound News, and on DC101.

Jason Mraz's "Waiting for My Rocket" was recently certified platinum! Scott recently finished 4 songs with "Welbilt" and they are currently being mixed by Jeff Juliano (Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz). Also, Scott and Columbia Recording Artist Mike Ruocco tracked and mixed new material being considered for his upcoming album. John Allen and Pat Dement of SR-71 joined Mike in the studio. Mike is headed back out to LA to continue writing with Marti Fredericksen (Aerosmith).

Scott Spelbring produced Plunge has signed to Columbia Records. Congrats to the Speaks on the release of their Warner Brothers release of "Life's A Joke". The single "High", produced + engineered by Scott, has hit #1 in the Phillippines while the video has been added to MTV Asia and is up for the Asian American International Film Festivals "Best Music Video Award". Also props go out to Rude Buddha with DC101 adding "Miss California" to regular rotation! Look for them on the VANS Warped tour as well as a couple of dates in the Bahamas! Scott is wrapping up production with amazing DC rockers Welbilt! The band will be mixing with Jeff Juliano (Lifehouse, Jason Mraz) later this month. Everyone But Pete mixes are finished and have already received airplay on DC101. Next month Scott starts projects in Nashville, TN and Washington DC.

Spring is here and I've been holed up in the studio for the last month producing Down To This for Versatile Records. Jeff Juliano (Lifehouse, Dave Matthews) will be mixing later in the month. Currently mixing a new track for Illuminati to be released during their upcoming Emergenza tour. Catch Niki Barr's new material on XM Radio's Radar Report. Big news on the horizon for Plunge, more on that later. Spent a little time with producer Jim Ebert (Butch Walker) and Dan Haas putting the finishing touches on Dan's new songs. Given and I spent some time together and knocked out the songs "Happy" and "Eternal". Jeff Juliano mixed and the band has headed to Florida for showcases. The Speaks and I finished the song "High" to be included on their Warner Brothers release of "Life's a Joke". They recently shot the video for "High" in Los Angeles with Cullin Tobin and Rhet Bear (Foo Fighters, Tenacious D). Look for the video to hit MTV Asia in the next week or so. Last but not least, mixes for latin rockers Stone Gato are just about done. The first song released, Mala, has been receiving airplay through parts of the southwest and into latin america! Mixing has been completed for some new material from Saturn Down! Make sure to check them out- vibe city! Last but not least, Rude Buddha and I put together a little thing for Amp Energy drinks. I think it will be out shortly!

I'm entering the studio with Kentucky rockers Given next week. Lots of interest swirling around the band and I'm sure they'll be taking the DC area by storm during their stay! I'm also heading in to track/mix a new-old song with the Speaks for their upcoming Warner Brothers Asia release. The band has recently been added to MTV Asia and this new song is the follow-up single to "Life's A Joke". Lots of love headed out to Niki Barr as she is showcasing in Los Angeles and New York this month! Engineering her new record with Jim Ebert (Butch Walker, Meredith Brooks) producing, was a complete month long adventure! I can't wait for the next one! Also on the good news front is that Sinch secured a distribution deal and "Clearing the Channel" will see the light of day on March 22nd! The band and Drew Mazurek (Linkin Park, Nothingface) were nothing short of amazing to work with! Last but not least on the good news front, Broken by Torn is currently being used in the trailers for "American Speedboat" debuting in the spring on the Discovery Channel. Brought to you by the same folks that brought you American Chopper! Woot!
